How to find a lost object

It was in your hands just a moment ago — and now it is gone, and no one knows where! As if your memory has been wiped, and you cannot say where you put it, and the whole family joins the search for the lost thing!
Many will recognise this! So let us try to find the missing object with the help of magical rites.
First of all, calm down: a loss often carries positive changes in life within it.
A passport — changes concerning the place where you live and work.
An earring from the right ear: for the unmarried, marriage ahead; for the married, divorce.
Losing money means profit coming. But you must never pick up small change you yourself have dropped.
New scissors — happiness and health; old ones — trouble.
And there are, of course, darker omens — to lose, for instance:
A wedding ring — divorce. To find any ring — happiness and love.
Gloves — quarrels and illness. Gloves you find must never be worn — they bring sickness.
A baptismal cross — illness, a sign that the evil eye (porcha, a cast spell) has been laid upon you. To find one and pick it up means calamity and even death.
Constantly losing keys points to theft; and to find a stranger's key in water means great misfortune.
A brooch — misfortune, for like a pin it guards against the evil eye; but to find one means a wealthy life.
A pen — matters decided against you.
Losing a chain means trouble: a harmful working, the evil eye, lies upon you.
A knife — health troubles for a man, minor vexations for a woman.
A button — bitter reckonings and scandals.
Glasses — gossip and complications on your path in life.
A headscarf means a deal will pass you by.
A phone — business slowing to a halt, rest and gossip, and the unmasking of “friends” who manipulate you.
If you have searched everywhere and the missing thing is still not found.
Try visualising it in three dimensions: recall the lost object as vividly as you can and picture it before you — only now glowing with bright sunlight. As if it shines, and you can feel the warmth of that glow and touch it with your hands. And in your soul you feel joy — that you have done it, and that you hold the lost object in your hand again. Visualise for five to ten minutes. That alone is often enough to start searching afresh, and your thing will be found.
Or you may spend longer on the visualisation and picture a bright blue thread flowing from the index finger of your right hand. It glows with an energetic blue light, a guiding thread meant to lead you to the lost object. At last it reaches your missing thing. And you feel joy that you have found it.
Tie a handkerchief you have used — a pocket one or a headscarf — to the leg of a table. Say the charm three times:
“Here, house-spirit (domovoi, the household guardian), play with this — and give me back my missing (name the lost object) at once!”
After that, look into your own soul — the spot two fingers' breadth above the stomach, also called the solar plexus. If you are dressed, unfasten your clothing, for you cannot see through it. Bow your head, look, picture the lost object. Now you may start the search all over again.
Ideally, walk the whole path you remember, from the moment the object was still in your hands to the moment it was gone. This ritual helps you recall where you laid it down.
Do it before going to sleep. Best of all if you do it on a Thursday.
Cut a red thread to match your height. Fold the thread seven times, then fold it three more times. Tie two loose knots, saying as you do:
“The moment I untie these knots, I shall find my missing (name it).”
Place the thread beneath your pillow. Lie down to sleep, silently asking the angels to help you find the lost object. Say:
“I (name) lie down to sleep. In the hills of Zion three angels stand at my head: one sees, one hears, and the third will help me find my missing (name the object), and show me the place. Amen.”
In the morning, the moment you wake, untie the knots and slip the thread into the pocket of your clothes. After this ritual there is a good chance you will not find the lost object yourself — it may be brought to you, passed on by relatives, friends, acquaintances.
Having lost something outdoors, people assume it can never be recovered. Yet the power of prayer can work wonders. Try reading the prayer “For the Finding of Lost Things”. Before every prayer, do not forget to read the “Our Father” three times. For the prayer to be heard, be alone if you can, remove unwanted noise and light a candle. Then read the prayer's words softly and from the heart.
There is also a special incantation to be read upon returning to the place where the thing may have been lost:
“Whoever finds what is mine — let him return it to me. And if he stole it, may he toss and suffer, know no peace until he gives it back! It shall be as I say. Amen.”
A special rite is recommended. You will need a candle, preferably red. The ritual will not solve the problem instantly, alas — it is performed at night. But you are guaranteed an answer about the strange disappearance. In the bathroom, light the candle and read seven times:
“The red candle burns; with its bright light my pain boils, sorrow blazes, grief presses on. It sears me, twists me, torments me with smoke — commanding an answer: where has (name it) vanished? If a thief has taken root in this house, may he not sleep nor know peace until he brings the missing thing back — to my joy and his own relief. Amen!”
Pinch the flame out with your fingers and throw the candle away at the nearest crossroads. After a while, even if you do not find the missing thing, you will at least learn who took it. That is how the charm works.
To find a lost object, you can also “tell fortunes” with matches.
Take a small bowl of water and a box of matches. Light the matches one by one; as each burns down, drop it into the water, repeating:
“The devil jokes and spreads the dark; he is a great master of games. Stop, turn back, return what is lost. So be it!”
Note too that a thorough cleansing of the house is needed, for things never vanish without reason. Put everything in its place, bring order, go through it all centimetre by centimetre — and clear out the clutter along the way. The thing will turn up, and the energy of the house will recover with it.
